Default RE: Porting upper intake plenum

The OEM plenum is the most restrictive component in the upper intake (I forgot to include the link toAccufab's flow data in my previous post, it'sabout 1/2 way down for our cars). And while a larger TB can improve throttle response (the amount of time it takes for the engine to react to a change in throttle position), don't confuse that with added power. Less restriction in the intake adds power at WOT, and there is nothing you can do to a stock upper plenum to make it flow as well as most after market units. Here's a pic of my Pro Products setup, no pony but it looks good (I keep mine pretty clean too)...

Default RE: Porting upper intake plenum

I didn't dare to spray anything inside the plenum after I ported it and polished it. As far as the outside, no I never sealed that either. Clear soat will simple chip and peel away and also get yellowed from the heat after a coumple of times. Spending money and time on the stock unit is a complete waste IMO
