Burning rubber smell in my '04 GT

Burning rubber smell in my '04 GT
When the vehicle is idling or in motion I will get a whiff of what smells like burning rubber or something similar. This smell comes and goes. It overpowers the new car smell and is quite noticeable. Does anyone know what this smell is and has anyone else experienced something similar? I haven't taken it to the dealership yet where I bought it to ask them. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .

if you smell burning rubber at idle i think its usually your belt. also look under your car to see if something is wrapped around the exaust.[:'(]
