Default Strip wheels/tires for my mustang... need help

I currently have 265/35/18s on my mustang that are really hard. A friend of mine said he would sell me 4 96 wheels with 225/60/15s on them for cheap. Do you thnk that would be a good purchse to run at the track? Let a little pressure out of them and be able ot launch harder, or should I spend the little extra and get wider wheels and radials?

225's are super skinny. You could either get those wheels, use 2 of them and put e/t streets on there for track only, or you could buy sticky tires for your 18" wheels, expensive, I know.
