Default on the verge of getting JLT...but first...

When i went to order my JLT ram air intake i noticed these optional parts...

MAF adaptor kit $20
S&B Powerstack air filter $35
S&B Breather (eliminates PCV hose) $10

the MAF adaptor and air filter are said to be needed if the car is in stock form now...what exactly is "adapting" the MAF? and why would i need a different air filter if the car is stock..

I got the whole kit. You waon't need the S&B breather, if you keep your PCV hose. The powerstack air filter is definitely worth it. The adaptor kit is a plte that mounts your MAF to the kit. Hope this helps.

alright man thanks a lot, does the powerstack air filter simply replace the air filter that comes with the JLT kit?

The powerstack filter is the one they sell with the kit. It has a velocity stack in the top that sucks the air in from the top as well as the sides of the filter.

Hey romancer, let us know how you like the JLT. I've been thinking about one myself. Are you getting it painted any certain color?

Yeah, I'm debating getting the JLT or just the regular full length densecharger and then finding myself a used C&L plenum with a 75mm TB somewhere. The deal on densecharger's site does look tempting though. Full length intake, 85mm MAM, dragon 75mm TB and plenum for 500 bucks.
