so i fixed my gas tank leak but...
we managed to break this part off the end of the filler neck while trying to get it out of the tank. i was suprised to find out the filler neck actually went into the tank about 8 inches.
does anybody know what that thing does? i put my neck back in without getting a new one and havent had any problems or leaks. oh and this is the thing that was giving me trouble for over a year but i was too lazy to do anything about it. the part was $19 from ford. you can see where it is cracked and fuel was leaking through.
