Yeah, so what's better on your engine for a daily driver. The juice, vortech, kb, paxton... I need some input. I was so ready to get a nitrous kit, but then after researching dry kits, there aren't any that work on an 04. Guess that's a good thing, it saved me $550. Anyway, what would be better in the long run? Would a blower require too much maintenance for a daily driver? I'm talking about a car that'll get driven like 15,000 miles a year roughly. What brand/type of blower would be best on the engine? Would nitrous (wet kit) be the way to go or is it too much on the engine? I want to get some more of that OH SNAP!!!! feeling when i floor it.

heh, i put on 24k last year with my blower. It requires very little maintenace (like 1/4 quart of oil every 20k miles, can be changed in 2 mins in the driveway). A blower is the way to go. Try to find one with an intercooler or aftercooler to get the most out of it. Then just look for a good deal.

All the blowers you mentions are good for daily drivers. Realize that you can drive a car with any of the blowers mentioned all day long under zero boost. There is no 'wrong way' to go in trying to find a blower that is reliable. They all are reliable and generally maintanence free. You tune means a lot more as far as extending engine life than the blower. Hey, Saleen's series 4 twin screw kit is complete for $4400. I think it is the best deal blower for the $ right now.

i have the choice between a vortech and KB. i can get the vortech installed, tuned, all the bells and whistles for about 4700 and the kb for everything is just a tad under 6k. i just wasn't sure if one was harder on your engine than the other. looks like i gotta start saving my pennies. [&:]

The juice is cheaper...more bang for your buck. Yeah it takes life off your motor but you can safely spray 75 to 100 shot on your motor with no internals. I also depends on how much you hit the magic little button. If you get the spray, I would go with an NX kit.
