Default Tuning?

Ok Ive heard alot about tuning but I don't really understand. When do you need to tune your car like after what mods and stuff? Also what is the best way to do this? Just to buy a tuner so you can do it after each mod or what? Thanks for the help.

Hell people will tune their car directly from the factory if they want. Especially with the new stangs. IMO you shouldnt worry about tuning until you get a lot of bolt ons or some internal mods or boost. Adding headers, cams, or a SC a tune would help a lot.

most people..... and i said most... when they talk about having their car tuned, they are referring to a dyno tune.

agreed.

you can get a hand-held tuner/programmer like the Diablo predator which will "tune" youre comp to give a few more ponies, and i believe the hand-held will be helpful when you do have youre car dyno tuned down the road.
