Default Starter Removal

What all is involved in removing the starter? I see the one bolt on the bottom, and then obviously the wires going to it. What else?

My uncle tried to do me a favor by installing m x-pipe for me. He ended up stripping the bolt on the passenger manifold stud right next to the starter. Now I'm going to have to cutthe nutoff to get the stock h-pipe off...

there are three bolts and the wires you can see. bolt one you have found, bolt two is just on the otherside of the starter solinoid, and the last is only possible if you have small hands. its directly above the first bolt and easiest to access from the front of the vehicle. using about 18" to 24" of extensions, slipping it over the k-member just beyond the sway bar, work its way back to the bolt.

i use a 6 inch extension, short 13mm socket and a flexible ratchet to remove all 3 bolts. then the nuts holding on the wires are 10mm and 13 mm.

Once you reinstall the starter you don't need to use the top bolt it will stay fastened perfetly without it. It just makes life easier on down the road.
