i have 3.73 and love them, for a daily driver theres plenty of torque to go around, and also my buddy witha 99gt had 3.73 and went to 4.10 cause he went with a very tall tire with welds and only picked up a .1 in the quarter, the performance is minimal in my opinion, and ill be going to the track Wednesday.

i just think the 3.73 for the 99-04 gt is plenty of gear cause we only rev to 6k, but for the 96-98 cobras a 4.10 4.30 is beautiful match cause of the high rev on the motors.

if you mod your car somewhat you wont be discouraged..

with my current mods, the car feels incrediable from a dig, it rips real hard 1-2 and 3-4 is just as good.

also you may want to keep in mind that with a 3.73 ull spin plenty form a dig on a street tire, and even more with a 4.10.. whats the point if you can get the ponies to the ground..

its really just a toss up, you will be satisfied with both, but it all depends on how you want to drive your car...

same question different trans, I have an auto w/ all the bolt ons. I am planning a S/C in 6 months so i was going 3.73's. Now my twist is with the final gear (auto)overdrive would 4.10s be too much on the highway at 80mph? i often make 500 mile trips.

i bought mine with the 3.73's (never droveit stock)so from my experience with a 4v THEY SUCK.

now for a gt since your powerband is alot lower i would go with the 3.73's. you will notice a gain in acceleration and it will keep you in your powerband longer then 4.10's.
