I run 10W-30 year round here in Florida. The 10W low temp ratingis good to cranking temps of 15°F or so--coldest it's ever been outdoorshere in 34°, never less than 45° in my garage...

i beleive 01-04 they changed it to 5w20...i got a 2000 and ive always used 5w30
i used 5w20 once by mistake with no problems tho
you better be using Mobil 1 synthetic either way tho

im sure the only reason ford recemends 5w20 in allmost every motor is to satasfy CAFE standards(fuel milage, gas guzzler tax ect) i dont think it matters much but i switched to 5w30.
