Default speedometer

The previous owner installed white face guages and now the speedometer is off by 5 mph. Can I change the plastic speedo gear in the tranny to fix this?

i have the same issue man, but mine is off by 7. and no you cant change the gear, cuz then youd be way off at higher speeds. its the needle itself that off, not the speedo gears.

My next option is to have it recalibrate but I cant find anyone local that can do this. Where is the the best place to have this done?

I've installed plenty of whiteface kits... you need to pull the need out with a small prying device then with the cluster hookedinto the terminal -turn the key on so all the lights are on inthe cluster - then while pointed at zero, very gently push the needle back into place. Most people push in the needle while the key is off which throws off the calibration.
