long tubes
hey guys new to the 4.6 world. i have always had foxs but wanted something newer. i wanna install long tube headers and was wondering if anybody has done it without dropping the k member. and if it is possible how is it done and how long does it take? thanks
you're gonna have to drop it. Also, i'd replace the clutch before you do longtubes because if you decide to do it later, you're gonna have to drop the k member again.......PITA because it could have been avoided. Good luck

+1. Replace the clutch, throwout bearing, rear main, and pilot bearing. If you have to repalce any of those later it will be a lot harder.
yes its possible and its an all day job. what ya do is unbolt the mount bolts and steering shaft, then lift the engine a lil. then just push/roll the engine side to side for hand clearance. good luck man.
