Default Removable Cats?

OK..... I've got a "problem" that I'm sure some or most of you on this board may also have so I thought I would throw this out there and see what kind of response or suggestions I would get. I live in California and, as we all know, emissions here are pretty tough! I put LT's and prochamber on my '03 GT and was wondering if, when the time came for my biannual smog inspection, I could just cut out a section and flange the pipes and connect the cats? This way once the inspection is over I can take them off and put the straight pipe section that I will have the muffler shop put flanges on, and just put that back in until my next inspection!

why dont u just find a real cheap x pipe wit cats on it and switch that out at emissions time instead of cuttin ur nice one...but if u said u got ur own shop and could do it on ur own its possible but sorta a pain in the @$$....if it were me i would just find a cheap used one somewhere .....
