Default Oil gage...

Hello I just traded in my 00 V6 for a 01 black GT. I love the car and am regretting getting the V6 in the first place but anyways in the GT the oil gage in the bottom right is always on low. It looks like its not even working, but when i first got the car a couple days ago it would go to half way which looked like normal to me then it would back down. So i thought it might need a oil change so i did that and it still didnt change. The car runs perfect so i dont kno if its just broken or i have a problem. Any ideas???

Buy a real oil pressure gauge.

The ones in these mustangs suck.

It is basically an on off switch- anything above 6psi of pressure it will go in the on position, anything less (if you got less than 6psi, your engine is LONG gone) it turns off.
