my proposed suspension
ok guys.. heres what i want to do with my suspension. it is 03 gt coupe,a DD for the most part with an occasional trip to the drag strip.. i have a bike.. but when it rains or i have a buddy with me, i take the stang. i wanna go with H&R super sport springs.. i know im gonna need cc plates. im probably gonna order the 4 boltMM cc plates from american muscle. now i know im gonnna need shocks/struts. what does everybody recommend?? KYB? Tokico? AGX? billstein? i know im gonna need adjustables... i just dont know what package to go with. am i going to need to replace the upper and/or lowercontrol arms for this drop? american muscle says 1.75 drop in front and 1.5 in the back. i want the car LOW but not to the point of scraping on EVERYTHING.. the roads around me are flat ( i live in FL) and in pretty good condition for the most part with minimal speed bumps wherever i drive. also, would a bump steer kit be necessary if im getting the cc plates and shocks/struts?? another (more than likely dumb..) question.. i have the 18" bullit rims with 265/40/18 tires all around. is wheel rub going to be an issue? let me know what you guys think. i appreciate it.

RE: my proposed suspension
i forgot to mention this.. at one point i considered getting the H&R sport springs (not super sport) and that would mean i coudl simply change out the springs and be done with it. BUT ive been told i wouldnt be happy with the drop. anybody have these springs andcare to comment?hence, im going with the super sport springs. just thought i would throw that in there.

RE: my proposed suspension
did a lil bit more digging... ive narrowed it down to the bilstein front strut/rear shock package or the tokico d-spec package. the difference in price is 2 bucks, if that.. anybody recommend one brand over the other? ive heard great things about tokico on other cars, butnot on mustangs.bilstein, from what ive heard, is excellent for our stangs. anybody back these claims or refute them??

RE: my proposed suspension
you dont need shocks/struts if you car has less than ..lets say 50,000. my car had 30,000 on it when i put the eibach sportlines on and bbk c/c plates. you dont need to change out the control arms again if the car has alot of miles on it then go ahead. as far as i know about the h&r sports......they suck dont waste your money.

RE: my proposed suspension
ive heard that even with the drop from the super sport springs.. that you could take the car to get aligned and it will be pretty close to stock instead of spending the 200 bucks on cc plates. anybody back this up? or are the cc plates absolutely necessary??
