Default Cam Question

Will installing PI cams in my car drop my boost level at all just like aftermarket cams would? Also, ive decided not to degree them simply due to the money id have to spend just for a few hp. Think its crazy to pick up 30rwhp from installing them in my non pi heads and getting a retune?

If you install cams with more lift and duration than what you have now then the boost will drop a little but your hp numbers will increase. I was running a 3.5 pulley and made 10 lbs of boost with the stock engine. I added stage 2 heads and blower cams and had to use a 3.2 pulley to get 10 lbs like I had before. I picked up 87 rwhp.

Yeah, they will fit fine. I dont even have to change my springs. I really can't run anymore boost with my setup without going 8 rib because im already running a power pipe and a 3.12 through an intercooler. Think 30rwhp/20tq is out of the question with just throwing the stock PI cams in and getting a retune?

30/20 is very reasonable. Hell, a stock NPI will gain about 10 rwhp with PI cams.
