Default Replacing Shocks/Struts

I am currently lowered on H&R Super Sports. I was just wondering if I were to replace my stock shocks and struts, should I replace them with the 94-04 shocks/struts or fox shocks/struts. I remember reading that you should use fox ones when the car is lowered because they are shorter.

Thanks for any help.

use the fox if your on a budget.they are shorter andwill accountfor the lowered ride height. the stock ones will wear out pretty quickly. if you go to www.stangsuspension.com you should be able to look at your springs and find some struts that match up to your spring rate.

I won't be on a budget when I do buy them. I was thinking about Bilsteins, but I like the adjustability of the KYB AGX and QA1's. I like to carve corners on the street, but I also visit the track a lot during the summer.

How do I match the struts to the spring rate? I know my spring rate but have no idea how to match them up.

AGX arent reccomended for cars that are lowered more than 1.5 inches, they will bottom out apparently. but i assume it should work with the shorter fox struts. i have regular AGXs on a prokit and have not had any problems

QA1, Stange, Bilstein, Koni or Tokico all make a quality shock/strut that works well with stiffer springs.
