Default how low should I go

I am going to be changing my wheels to Motegi Touge's in a few weeks upgrading from 17's all around to 18x9 up fron and 18x10 in the back.My question is how much can I lower the car to help fill in the wheelwells. going with the standard plus 1/plus 2 guideline my total wheel tire diameter will be the same as stock. I don't want to drag or rub ,just clean it up. Who makes the best springs ? How much does it usually cost etc.. Thanks in advance .

Ford racing or eibach are probably the best. but they're among the pricier. you can get some other springs that are still good and a little cheaper.

don't drop more than 1.5".

I want to put the same size wheels on mine. I have seen mustangs with saleen replica wheels with Eibach sportline springs on them. Thats a drop of 2" I think that puts it at the perfect height. Why do you say dont drop more than 1.5"s?

Get some hydraulics on that puppy and set her on the ground yo! J/K

From what I have seen 1 - 1.5" is the general rule of thumb. If you go any further than that a set of C/C plates are in order i believe? Correct me if i'm wrong guys.

I have Intrax springs, 2" front 1.75" rear...they're pretty nice.
