how many in a ls1 and a lt1???
They're all 2 valve motors, but they are pushrod engines. Ours are overhead cams.
Overhead Cam, Does that mean we are Japanese?

look at the heads if they are huge then its a 4v[8D]
Here's an easier solution. If you have a black plastic intake manifold than you have a 2v gt motor. They have the tiny little metal plenum on top of the cheap plastic intake with the running pony on it..lol. Sorry but they are. The only worthy plastic intakes are the aluminum crossover ones. Metal that runs behind alternator vs. old school plastic that cracks and was part of a recall only when it hapened but that's gone and past!
Hey I just had to fix that!
Thanks for all your Guy`s answers.
Just to give you a little updated info.

I went by a Performance shop and was able to get a it dyno`d for 50 bucks (with the Coupon) they have the Mustang Dyno that records RWHP. Best Results were 187RWHP and 257FPT. I have a Printout and as soon as my scanner starts working i will scan it in as it probabbly has more info you guy`s will want to know. I Figured that was pretty good for the slight mods done.
Next question
The Guy at "Enhanced performace auto" suggested getting a "Superchip" which is $375 Canadian. That and some Shorty Headers.In that order...Why? the first one is the one i can afford right away If anyone see`s any flaws in the plan or knows of a better/less inexpensive but same quality of product please let me know.

Regards
Mal

If it where my $ I would get a a hand held tuner and not one of them gay Superchips. And save for Long tub headers not shorties.

I think you've already got the mods that are going to give you a noticeable gain. I think your next step is to save and get a power adder (super charger, turbo, nitrous). That's my opinion, but I think you've already done the things that are the best bang for the buck. Headers, tuners, etc. all add up. I say save a little longer and pick up a used Kenne Bell or something like that. You can usually find a used super charger system for around $1500. That won't get you the top of the line system, but you can't run a top of the line system on a stock short block anyway.

My Appolagies. I think thats what Scott was talking about..not a chip. He mentioned that I will be able to read "codes" do Spark adjusment Shift Points Rev speed limiter along with a whole bunch of other stuff. This is what i remember off the top of my head.I found out i have the Tallest gears available in this thing. Great for Gasmilage and top end speed...but i was looking for a little more bottom end. Where would i find a set of gears? Even used ones that are in good cond. Most people i have talked to Suggested 3/73 gears but no one could give me a good answer on where to get them other than."Look in wreaking yards" Well thats real tough being in a wheelchair you know what most wreaking yards look like? What I remember about being younger and playing in wrecking yards was mud oil cars piled one on top of another Squezzing in around on top through and under Cars.That just aint going to happen now[]

::::::Incoming N00b question::::::

Would it be difficult to change to a 4v? If you can or do, would you see decent power gains?

If youd like to explain how and why that would be kool, if you want to be lazy (like me) yes/no answer would be good :P
