Default Shifting

Hey guys i recently just purchased a manaul gt and this is my first stick. I appologize for the rookie questions. at what rpm's should i be shifting if i am racing or on the track. thanks for you help.

shift when it stops pulling . If you've got a 96-98gt thats somewhere in the high 4k-low 5k, If you've got a 99-04gt thats somwhere around 5500 I think, and if you've got an 05+ idk.

I found there's something that helped me a maybe shave a tenth off.

1st to 2nd - shift 5500 or so. reason - drop you back right to your peak tq and push you forward harder.

2nd to 3rd to 4th - shift 5750-5800 to get to your peak power

what he said, most importantly tho learn how to properly speed shift. if u r a newb to a manual then proper shifting technique is the first thing to learn. dont granny shift when u r at the track, u will get laughed at [8D]

on the track some where over 5000rpms (which i do off the track somtimesanyway lol)
