This might seem elementary but are you sure it's leaking and the Coolant didn't just pool up and drain out when you didn't expect it? Hense making you think there's a leak.

Your heat still would work unless there was no/little hot fluid going through the heater core.

Also best way to determin where it's coming from is go wash your engine bay. drive it around long enough for the wash water to be dry. (of course stop if you begin to overheat) After the cars dry and the coolants still full park it and pay attention to where the drip marks are. Do not run your car while it's parked in the place so the fan doesn't kick on and push the draining leak back. If you have no leaks with the car off, start the car and unplug the Radiator fan and wait for the leak to apear. Of course shut down the engine once you start going beyond normal safe operating temprature. It would also help if the car was on jack stands.

The heat tends to be one of the first things to go though, since it's higher in the system than most of the other coolant passages/hoses... It's an awfully good indicator that your system is low, hence a leak... Not saying that the leak is bad enough where you've lost that much, or as was just mentioned, if it's a guaranteed leak at all....

I highly doubt its the petcock, so tomorrow I will jack it up again and check out the heater core. Cause I have checked all the lines.
