Default J-mod??

I was talking to a mutual friend of mine and he suggested that I do the J-mod to my Auto tranny while I install a shift-kit. What is a j-mod? He tried to explain it to me, but when it comes to trannys, it's all greek to me.

Sound like a good investment??

BTW, it's 75% daily driver, 25% fun haver. (I know "haver" not a correct term............LAY OFF!)

The Jmod *is* a shift kit but since it was designed by one of the engineers who designed the 4R70W, it is done the right way instead of what some of the other brand shift kits do.

Look here for everything you ever wanted to know and more.

You can get a pre-drilled plate and gaskets here:

He's a great person to deal with and answers email really fast.

Default RE: J-mod??

I went to a "get together" last night with a friend of mine at a TCCOA meeting and was conversing with a guy and he told me that I don't even need to drill any holes for there is little difference in size. He told me he has done it and all I need to do is to remove the spring behind the accuator and I'll be set.

This sound right to anybody??
