Starter Replacement?

RE: Starter Replacement?
Alright, i just did this about 2 weeks ago. This is by far the worst thing to remove from the car with the trans and engine still in. Here it goes. First remove the two wires connected to the started. Should be a heavy guage battery wire and a thin gauge wire. REMEMBER where they connect to. Take pics or mark them, just make sure they go on the new one correctly. Next, there are 3 bolts total. One is on the bottom, one is on the side. These are the easy two. The hard bolt is blind on the top of the starter. You have to feel for it and then start taking it out. If you have a fine tooth ratchet, USE IT. I had one and made life so much easier. Just work at it and it will come out. After the bolts are out it should just fall right out. Installation of the new one is the reverse of the disassembly.Good Luck.

Disconnect the battery first
And don't re-install the blind bolt unless you like pain or get lucky....
