I don't see the confusion?

4.10 gears and slicks with any respectable driver is going to get you damn near 13.0 even with minimal mods to a 99+ GT.
I agree. I dont think most realize that some people can actually drive. Check out this months issue (June 2005) of 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords. A guy in a red 89LX with 49,000 miles on the clock ran a 13.89 with ONLY a K&N air filter and 3.55 gears. Have some confidence in the Stang guys.

Wow, this is a weird thread... because I'm so used to my f-bodys stock running mid 13's that with those mods they can easily be put in mid/low 12s... but yea, don't doubt these cars.. maybe it's just a naturl 'factory freak' I know my TA was... too bad the stang isn't :-( But yea, headers, gear, tire, great driver, good weather... u can easily pull those numbers, I thought people are supposed to be encouraging with other enthusiasts! LoL!

That is DAMN impressive. Some people don't realize how HUGE of a difference gears and sticky tires make. Sticky tires alone on a 99+ GT stock will get you well into the 13's. So it's no surprise to me he's running high 12's with SLICKS.

thast what i was gonna say and he has more power mods like full exhaust but not running slicks of course..... I could be possible. Does this mean JD is a bad driver, or just needs a set of slicks??? Speaking of which, did JD leave the forum, I haven't seen a post of his in ages!

Yeah its possible he has to have ALOT of bolt ons and be a hella good driver tho... I hardly ever believe people when they say how fast their cars are unless they show time slips, ESPECIALLY on cardomain, I've seen a guy with a jetta golf on cardomain, say he ran 12's stock with only 200hp so iono... lol BSZ!!!
