Default electrical problem

the issue is that when my friends 03 gets put in reverse, at about the exact time the reverse light lights up, it blows the turn signal fuse. or so this is what he tells me. i am going to go try to help him find this and fix it later, but could any of you offer and advice on wherethis shortcould be. seeing as im not exactly a wiring aficianado, id hate to spend my sunday trying to find a short, all damn day. thanks guys.

According to the wiring diagram in the shop manual the backup lights aren't on the same fuse as the turn signals, and are switched through unrelated circuits--has the taillight wiring been messed with?[/align]

First thing I'd ask is weather or not any wiring changes were made, like cliffyk said...

thats what has me so confused about this entire thing. i spent about 3 hours trying to find some short where maybe the wires got crossed, but i had not luck. all the wiring seemed straight, didnt look like anyone has ever even toyed with any of it. im seriously considering telling him to take it to a dealership.

thanks for the replies though guys.
