Default Trans Cooler/Shift Kit Q

Hey all, just found these forums and seems like a nice informative place.
Just upgraded from my 96' 3.8 to a 01' GT (auto) and have decided to get a Trans cooler/shift kit for it.
Thing is, I have actually never done any work on a car before but want to get the experience and want the gratification
of doing it myself. I'm not scared to do the work myself or anything, but also don't want to attempt something
that I don't know how to do. Was wondering where you guys learn to do installs and if you know of any Pictoral guides
for the cooler/shift kit installs. Thanks for any input!

Thats one of the greatest mods you can do to your auto. Man did it make a difference on y V6 ,night and day shifting. Get transgo shift kit and b&m cooler. I didnt run cooler until I got gears but its nice to go with it and its an easy to do job. Took me about 30 mins to mount the cooler. As far as the shift kit goes I wouldnt mess with it if you never worked on an auto tranny . It looks like pain to do (again I never touched anything) I got my shift kit and cooler for 140 bucks shippd and had the shop install it for 250 bucks. DO IT! Congrats on your purchase I just got rid of my 02 v6 and got an 04 auto GT

maybe I should just blow all my $$$ on 'professional' installs and buy a v6 in a few yrs to mess around with by myself.

i tried looking for the JMOD and found this http://www.vapauto.com/jmod.htm but sold out. So i looked on summit and found this http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=TRG%2DAODE&N=70 0+4294908331+115&autoview=sku

whats the difference between the two shift kits??
