Default Spark plug Problem

Need help. I drive a 2002 gt vortech supercharged. Well when I get up to full boost in 3rd gear my engine runs like **** after. Because everytime the spark plugs electrodes are bent touching each other not smashed but bent over touch. This happened twice. Once in cylinder 8 and now in cylinder 4. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to run a smaller gap. Try a NGK TR6 gap around 0.32

Had NGK tr55 set at .40 instead of the .55but vortech says to use stock gap on the plugs. I'm running about 7# boost.

Stocjk gap maybe but on a much colder plug! That's just what they base their tune from. TR55 is stock heat range. TR6 is one step colder and the 7 series is two steps colder which you won't need for only 7# of boost. Honestly, do some resaerch and get some Lightning plugs. They are by far the best for blower applications hands down. Set them to stock Lighting specs and you will be good to go. But I would def say buy some TR6's for now and gap them at .032 like dennis said. I would get your car on a dyno when you get the lightning plugs and check your air/fuel unless you already have a wideband. I bet your running crazy lean in those upper rpms. I was at the dyno shop when a 03 cobra was running 50:1 at wot above 5k on a 15# pulley. NOT GOOD! It was with a canned POS tune. He picked up 45rwhp and 68rwtq by correcting the air/fuel and timing. Highly reccomend you do that!!!

Could have serious head issues, but I doubt it if its on different heads.

Good luck getting it figured out.
