than a mark VIII swap..... heilicoil if youcan and if that dont work a new2v head is a couple hundred bucks

a little cheaper......i can get a mark engine pretty cheap.

i don't actually need it though......unless the threads are ****ed in my head.

but the downtime you will have with completing the swapand getting it working right you would be better off replacing the head if you had to. unless your a master mechanic

i definitely am not......pretty handy but definitely not a master mechanic.

The ticking on your motor is probably your timing chain guides as they are prone to severe wear! You also have COP's. I would go ahead and say test all of them and see if you can find a bad one! When's the last time you changed your fuel filter as that can give those symptoms as well? Just remember on the Mark swaps your gonna spend another $6-700 for a Cobra intake and misc. stuff needed and the time your gonna have to use to shop around for the parts.
