I agree....but...he just needs to give it the juice and he's there. No need to max out the plastic.

One thing to remember also is it's not always the HP but the driver behind those HP's.

how many times has ford come out and said the mustang isn't a muscle car and it was not made to compete with the comaro's and such. and the srt-4 has F/I on a smaller engine and is just barely keeping up with our v8s stock. put F/I on our v8s and they won't touch us.

Atleast ford is still putting V8's into there sports cars....besides the vette chevy has only the cobalt SS with a s/c 4 banger

(Not to hijack, but) I feel your pain. But look at it this way – the 4.6 and modular platform has the potential to make loads of power. Those little Neon’s and EVO’s are all hopped-up from the factory, so it’s like comparing apples to oranges (unless you run one against an 03-04 Cobra). Maro’s have lots more displacement/power, but a $hitty platform. With a grand or two in mods, you can run with the Maro’s.

I love the Stang too and feel the same way. Wish they would put em out there with a bit more power – at least at the 300 HP mark at the wheels. Like the Maro for power, but looks wise, it just doesn’t trip my trigger…
