whats cheaper, motor swap or COMPLETE PI SWAP
quick question, thinking about doing either a PI HEADSWAP, which i hear will run over 2k after parts and labor (i don't have the eqipment or the know how to do the swap myself) or doing a cobra motor swap. assuming a get a deceint deal on a motor how much would it cost me to swap the motors out, and would i need a new tranny, or anything else. im looking to get the best bang for my buck without having a lot of down time on my car.

Well a 2V is much cheaper to mod, but the 4V put down so nice *** #'s. I personally go with the PI swap. It would for sure be WAY cheaper than the complete motor swap. There is a lot more involved in a 2V to a 4V motor swap than just the motor, computer, exhaust, etc. So go with the PI swap.

well i havent done it yet but i get my new engine thursday. it is an 01 saleen sc 281 with only 17k miles on it and it cost me 2500$. Comes with everything and lots of extras like diablo sport tune chipped all tuned and bbk headers. install will be cheap and the way i figure, it would cost more than twice that price to build up a stock 96. i mean, i got a great deal and all but i think if you cant do the labor, which i cant, then a already modded engine is the cheaper alternative.

What about just finding a newer PI engine with lower miles to swap? Maybe a police engine/tranny package. What is the difference with the 235 HP police interceptor engine, because you can get one of those for a decent price and would have the coolers and everything heavy duty? Could it be in the computer of the GT? Any thoughts?
