Default Tranny slop?

Any of guys experience any transmission or driveline slop when you are driving. Is this the nature of the beasts? I have noticed this in two Ford autos I have. You let off the gas suddenly and you kinda feel everything through out the driveline back off.

Mine did too. But I only notice a difference when I'm in 5th gear.

Funny thing is...I made sure lash was tight before the install was complete. Set lash to 12 thousandths. Minimum is 10.

Finally finished breaking it in and took it to the track tonight.

Best run was a 9.25 in the 1/8 - stock crappy tires wouldn't let me do any better then that.

K&N cold air, gears, & exhaust

When I upgraded from 4.10's to 4.30's, I noticed the 'slop' you mentioned was virtually gone.

It's almost like stock gearing lets the rpm's drop too quick. I still felt it alittle with my 4.10's, I can understand how you feel it significantly with 3.73's.
