switch this!

RE: switch this!
yeah, good luck with the effin clip. I had to deal with the same thing. I pried on the clip with a small screwdriver and popped it off. but then when putting it back on the clip was bent out of shape so the effin **** wouldnt stay on. well i tried to bend it back and it broke. so i had to drop $15 on a new one at the stealership. Well, when I got it home, the new **** comes with the metal shaft attached to it. I tried to pull off the **** from the new one and bent the clip again. But the **** must be welded on the shaft cause i couldnt get it off. So the end result, I went loony, lost my temper, got a hammer, and beat the pi$$ out of the new **** since it was already scratched up. I ended up ordering a steeda billet **** that attaches with a small allen screw. much easier to pull on and off and its polished billet.

Hey I got it off... went to see my friend who installs stereos and he showed me how... The retaining clip is a compression type that has to be pulled out toward you... At the same time pull on the ****-haha sounds funny--just installed my white face gauges and they're awsome!!!!It was hard to figure out for the first time, but if I did it again, I'd be able to do it in 30 minutes tops...
