Default Fuel Injector Cleaner?

Hey guys, I am just going to ask this question. You hear on the radio advertisements about putting in Fuel Inj. Cleaner/Octane booster in your tank everytime you fill up. My question is, is it really that helpful/safe? Does it reap any benefits over putting it in every oil change or every other oil change?

it's most likely worthless but it only costs a dollar and some change so i usually use it every 10k miles or so

Some of the cheaper stuff has been linked to fouling spark plugs. However ZMAX (a little more expensive, but only every 6,000miles) has had some really interesting results in the tests. In fact, Carrol Shelby actually put his name behind it. I use it and saw a small increase in mpg, but others have mixed results.

Just make sure you read the directions on the bottle, alot of people end up dumping a whole bottle in and running it out with less than a 1/4 tank of gas, and thats what usually fowls the plugs.

I like to use Chevron Techron concentrate every 5K miles, right before I do an oil change. I never saw much value of using something every fill up. I tryto buy gas from a station with newer equipment and high volume so as to get good gas.

I use the Lucas Fuel products which seems to be ok. But who knows, I dont think anyone can really tell a difference.

But since I use Lucas in everything, I decided to use it everytime I fill up
