Default Royal Purple + Vortech

I'm going out and buying some Royal purple for the stang. What oil viscosity is recommended when using a vortech blower on my 02 4.6? Is it still 5w30? Thanks!

Figured I'd go ahead and get hersome clean oil during the vortech install, start things out fresh.

I used RP for a couple of oil changes and I was discusted at the amount of crap in the oil after 3-4k miles. RP has a LOT of clensers so be prepared to start getting ugly oil. I figured I cleaned the inside of the motor a few times and now it's time to go back to good old Mobile1 synthetic...

5w or 10w /30 will work for you depending on climate and what you perfer.

Mobile1 is great and it's a little cheaper so it's my choice.

Thanks alot man. That's the second person recommended Mobil 1, I think i'll go with youon that after a cycle or two of RP. I just wanted to make sure, do my best with the vortech going on and all.

You have some awesome numbers, are youforged and/or PI swap? j/w, there has to be more than a vortech on there!pretty car tho.

Vortech recoments non-synthetic oil.

My mods are PI engine (not a gay swap), stock headers, o/r H, flows w/ stock piping, 75mm tb, big Plen, v2 10lbs and I/C'd. And some sweet tuning using SCT.

I have a factory freak, I can't explain it.

I run amsoil with my vortech with no issues at all. weight for an 02 4.6 is 5w20 I believe. thicker oil is not always better as these engines have very tight tolerances.

Oh, thank god you didn't do the "gay swap", does that consist of painting your car pink?

Man you have an issue with pi swapped cars!!!
