Default does it need retuned

Need some advice. I have a 1996 GT that I'm repowering with 2004 4.6 L PI. Do I need to have it retuned or is the tune up for the 96 PI engine good enoug.h

Default RE: does it need retuned

You'll be fine to drive it for now. You'll get better performance, HP and MPG from the PI fuel maps and a custom tune. After I did the same thing I went from 17-18mpg to 28mpg and 265rwhp
