Well this is the second time I got gas at a mobil and my car started to have a small ping. 2 different stations same sucky gas. Again I had to retune my spark after using mobil. I never have a problem with chevron or shell. has anybody else had this problem.

i use racetrac.. havent had this problem , i always use 87

That is a no no around here. Racetrac gas sucks in Waco.

As for the OP, I don't know if anyone is dumb enough to try this again, but a few years back, there were a few cases where some of these stations were putting 87 octane fuel in their 89 & 93 octane tanks. Consumers were thinking that they were getting good stuff, but were really getting the cheap stuff.
