Default Throttle Body Spacers

[8D]There are Throttle Body Spacers all over Ebay, that tout a 8-10 HP gain. The most expensive of all of them is the STEDA, and steda makes noHP promises whatsoever. What is the truth? Do thesr spacers provide any increase at all? I installed one on my Corvette and there was a noticible difference, however on my 2007 Mustg Shelby (320 HP) I really can' tell. After installation, though, my injectors shutoff at 5800 RPM instead of the 6200 RPM set by the factory. Lastly, which programmer is best for the Mustg, Diablo Predator or SCT? Thanks for the help./ Bill

Yea they rank pretty high on the "ricer scam" list.

OH yea its STEEDA not Steda.

Your not the first one to rub on some snake oil, Not a major issue, but might want to check the forums for tip's, and other advice before purchasing stuff. It's saved me some head and heart ache.

As for the tuner, I'd have to put another point on the SCT X-Cals, A few friends have the predators, and have had a couple of issues with them, and from my exp. with them on my own F150 there Customer Service Sucks!
That being said, look into www.vmptuning.com for a Xcal and custom tune. My other advice, if you have a local speed shop w/ a reputable reputaion for custom tuning, you may want to do a DynoTune, they cost a little more, but they pretty much get everything out of your car thats still in the safe zone. And you get to see the numbers your car's putting down.

Just my .02
