RE: Noisy Throwout Bearing???
ok well ive never done these so how long would it take to do both pilot and the the throw out and while im in there i might as well do a light weight flywheel and a good clutch.what do you recomend on that side of the deal?I plan on staying n/a if that maters. the only other thing i plan on doing is a 5.0 stroker kit over the winter and maybe a lil shot of go juice.lol

RE: Noisy Throwout Bearing???
when i had my replaced about a year ago it was pretty noisy, i asked the shop what the deal was and they said its the throw out bearing and yet they said they replaced that with a new one, still makes that sounds when i push the clutch in a little bit but i just ignore it now...

RE: Noisy Throwout Bearing???
My throwout bearing is making noise intermittently and I took it to the shop and the guys told me to wait until it did it constantly before i changed it out. Maybe my bearing isn't that bad. I don't know if that's the right thing or not but I am going to wait to replace it. My plan is to replace the entire clutch while they have it apart. I have a Spec Stage 1 clutch on the way so i'll just be ready.

depends what tools your using. if you are just using a floor jack i'd definitely make sure you have two people doing it. the throwout bearing sits right on the fork, its pretty self explanatory when you pull the transmission out. it sits right inside the bell housing and you have to apply pressure to two tabs in order to pop it off the input shaft to slide it off. the pilot bearing i did not replacing when putting my clutch in. i know you have to take the flywheel/flexplate whichever you have, don't remember if you said it is auto or 5 speed, off. i am pretty sure you have to have a tool to get the pilot bearing out however i dont not remember anymore. to do both depending on if you know or someone knows what they are doing and the hassels you have it could take a day or several of days. i would nottry tothink on a time tableas it probably will take longer than you think.
