possible project when i return from iraq
k heres the deal... i just came upon a 1995 v6 mustang... when i get back from iraq in a year i would like to buy a wrecked donor car hopefully 2003+ gt and transfer the engine over... i know i will need new suspension and an 8.8... do you think this project will go over 10,000 if the worst case scenario is that i only do little work by myself? what will the difficulty be? and also i would like to find a book or something to get to help me knowledge wise so that i can do most work by myself... anyone help me out?

Why not just start with a 99-04 GT to begin with. Or unless you really like that body style. And ifI was gonnago through all that trouble I'd find a wrecked 03-04 cobra.

Ok dude. Here's the deal. I had the same plan when I was in that S**T hole of a country. I had a V6 and wanted to do a motor swap. Then I came to relize that it was a bad idea. So I saved up the whole time I was out there, came back to the states and bought a brand new 04 GT with only 76 miles on it. I put $8000 down and got a pretty kick a** car with still a bunch of spending cash left over. So figure you would spend about the same to buy and swap a used motorwith probably about 60,000 miles on it along with having toget the computer to go with it.Take it from someone who's been there and just get a brand new car. You're going to make a ton of cash out there anyways. Good luck and keep your head down.

No problem buddy. IMOP the 99-04 body style looks the meanest anyways. Go with one of those. Or just go ***** out like I did a few weeks ago and get a Terminator. You'll wish you never even thought of a V6
