HYDRABOOST help...
Okay, to start off...i have made threads on 3 different boards with NO response. Im having trouble removing my hydraboost system. I got the four nuts off, the rod under the dash and it will only slide out ab an inch. There is a block that bolts on the side of it which, im guessing, allows the powersteering fluid to pass through, which is hitting the struttower when i try to slide it all forward. Is there anything in there that will slide out when i unbolt it??... this is my Daily Driver so i reallly need help soon.

RE: HYDRABOOST help...
When i removed mine to coat the valve covers I could have sworn there was 5 bolts forming a kindof star pattern connecting it to the firewall side. Once those 5 (10mm iirc) bolts are removed, pull that sharp box off that is going into the side of it. I cant remember the size but it is held on by one large bolt. pull that and its lines out of the way and give it some solid (but careful) yanks back and forth and it should finally clear the two studs from the brake res. Hope that helps.

RE: HYDRABOOST help...
a little more specified:
"We need to remove the 5 bolts that hold on the Brake Booster. The brake booster is that black unit that is the shape of a pop can and comes straight out from the fire wall. IT WILL LEAK FLUID SO TRY AND CATCH IT BY PLACING A BAG ON THE BODY OF THE CAR DIRECTLY UNDER THIS UNIT - Don't worry though, this unit works on Power steering fluid NOT brake fluid so if it gets on the paint it won't hurt it. 2 of the bolts (the lower ones) are EXTREMELY hard to get at. The one on the valve cover side you can get with extensions and from coming along the side of the valve cover from the front by standing in front of the car. The one at the bottom and closest to the fender is hard but doable - attach this from the side of the car and use a wrench or a VERY small ratchet. Once the bolts are removed - clean up the area of any oil. The unit will NOT come out because it is attached to the brake unit - but it will be able to move a couple of inches towards the fender. I used a bungee cord and pulled it to one of the holes in my strut tower (remember I had to remove mine so the holes were empty)"

RE: HYDRABOOST help...
i thank You all VERY much... but i had to get it done so i just done it myself3 days ago.(daily driver, had to)
I had to.. Remove 3 13 MM bolts from inside the car, Cottor pin and disconnect pedal, Remove one 13mm bolt from engine bay. Remove the Box on the side of the hydraboost system(7/8"), remove the 13mm nut holding the brake line to the fender, and pull the unit loose. It was HARD but had to be done , and it worked okay. Reinstall wasnt as bad as i thought it would be either. Should also note to be careful to watch for O-RINGS falling out of the Lil box on the side the hydraboost unit, as there are two diff ones on there.

RE: HYDRABOOST help...
Yeah I reinstalled mine not realizing I had dropped the o-ring on that little side box. leaked like crazy. I was pissed. had to hunt down another o-ring to fit and that cured it. hooking everything back up to the brake pedal was complete hell for me.
