Is the Chipmaster Revolution worth it? Opinions please thanks

 

Are you just wanting quick easy horsepower? Any other mods you might do in the future? If so... get the SCT x2 or x3.

 

Just looking for quick and easy horsepower not really planning on any more mods just better performance

 

you could buy my chip and throw it in... not sure if it will work on your computer though, it came out of a Mach 1. my ad is posted in the parts section under "mach 1 takeoff parts" let me know if you are interested

 

chipmaster revolution.....wtf? the chipmunk version of dance revolution? is it worth it?? i highly doubt it.

i used to have a "jet" chip in my car. i paid like $200 for it. i didnt realize how sheeeity it was untill i replaced the tune, with a quality tune....from an xcal2/brenspeed. HUGE difference!! really woke the car up, and most definatley worth it!! i wouldnt mess with the no namers....get yourself an x-cal.

Revolution is the new version of a diablo chip. I saw it monday @ strictly performance in Houston. It comes as a blank and must be dyno tuned and burned for your specific tune to your car. The price for the chip and dyno was $600[sm=wtf.gif]Sounded kind of high to me so I just said ok I'll think about it. They told me the other version came pre-loaded with tunes and this one had to be custom burned. I wasn't really looking for a custom tune just something to improve performance and mpg. Jimmy

they will send you a tuner....with tunes that they created specificly for your vehicle for almost half of that price. and...or course it does not have to be dyno tuned. you just plug it in...load the tune....and done!

 

i like my american muscle tune...i would buy a tuner, not a chip

 

I was just talking to the guy about tunes and he brought up the chip. Asking if I planned any future mods and stuff, I don't even know what I'm doing tommorow much less new gears, possibly new pullies etc... I am more interested in the tuner because of that. Now which one would I get that would be flexible enough for basicly a stock gt other than midpipe catback and air filter? I'm not wanting to break the bank but I do want to be prepared in case future mods are made?
