Default Interesting Info:

I just wanted to share some interesting information with everyone. So me and my friend both have g.t's. He has the JLT RAI and I have the BBK TCAI. Yesterday evening we pluged up the diablo sport to his car and was checking the spark advance and what not when I got the idea to see what his IAT was reading well we took it down the road and got it as low as 72 degrees...I was like man we should hook mine up to the diablo and make the same pass as we just did in yours and read the IAT since BBK is in the fender well and it is also metal..unlike the the JLT ram air intake. Well to my surprise I could only get mine down to 74 degrees IAT...Just thought that was somewhat interesting guess the plastic JLT made the air 2 degrees cooler who knows but wanted to share.......

You need to start learning how to use General Discussion. Good info though.

I did as well....that is mainly the exact reason I wanted to do the experiment lol. There is one difference in his model and mine though as you know my 99 has its on IAT sensor up from the MAF as to wear his is built in with the MAF...I dont see a few inches being a big difference though IMO. And another thing that was stranger as it was getting evening time and we made his runs first when the air was actually somewhat hotter than when I made my runs. O and one time during WOT his actually went down to like 68 and when we tested mine it stayed somewhat stuck on 74...maybe that metal pipe does really conduct more heat even though I am pulling outside air from the fenderwell. Really strange though...
