The computer will learn the differences by itself. Undo your battery cable for about 15 minutes, then hook it back up to speed this process up. You would only have to reprogram your computer after some heavier mods that throw the computer out of its normal perimeters. Sometimes it may not set off an SES light or anything, but you are not gaining the HP, due to needing a good dyno tune. You can easily gain 20 HP from a good tune with mods you already have on your car but your computer keeps them from obtaining optimal performance. Your far from there, so just enjoy what you have right now.

Unhooking the cable will do nothing. And you will not gain 20 hp (RW or at the crank) with a tune with his mods (at least not on a 99-04).

There is no reason to tune anything till you replace the MAF and/or get a set of headers. At that point you really start to throw off the a/f ratio.

With your exhaust and cold air set-up you don't need to do any tuning to your car or get a chip or anything like that. Your car's computer should respond just fine to these mods and you should feel a slight increase in your throttle response.
