lowering springs, shocks and struts, upper and lower control arms, full length sub-frame connectors. prices are going to vary depending on brand, ect. just check out the link, and do some looking around....you'll find everything you need.

thats a fair enough answer tho, and i would assume the more and more serious you get about auto x the more mods you can throw at it even though that brings you up in class..

I would skip the suspension get bigger tires. Shocks and springs may be cheaper but not nearly as cost effective. Control Arms are more expensive than shocks but less than wheels and tires and difficult to install (Ask anyone who has spend a day drilling out the old bushings. . .UGGH). Then if you have someone install them it would be about the same as the wheels and tires. Try 315's on a 10.5" wheel. It looks intimidating and works well too. Just remember to find the lowest PSI the tires can safely run at the track. My is 18psi and after a good burn I get much much less tire spin. The best way to hook is tires.

Now if you talking strictly at the 1/4 mi track you could get Upper and Lower Control arms, and softer springs in the rear end. That way when the car throws that power back and the tires hook the weight is transfered as well. Stiffer rear shoks and U&L CA's will help to keep your *** planted in the ground.

Now once your car starts hooking hard I would recommend a drive shaft. They are lighter and stronger. But that is probably a long way off. However its a cheap and easy mod. (And I do mean easy were talking ten minutes if everything goes wrong.) It will also free up some HP but not much. You be lucky to get 5hp out of it.

All of the parts I listed can be found at Americanmuscle.com and they are good. I would aslo suggest Summitracing.com since they are very knowledgable and if you live near them you may be able to find parts cheap. I got my driveshaft for $75! Brand new but they couldnt sell it full because it was a display model. Also check out "High Performance Mustnag Buyers guide 1994-2004" (I know I'm going low tech by suggesting a book but it has been a big help to me, and far less annyoing that searching though a plethora of sights for some basic info.)it has lots of easy to understand basic info that can get you going in the right direction.

I hope this hleps and that its not to much information.

Normally you don't need a cage for autocross.

1 is most important ect...

1) Big/Sticky Tires

2) Coil-Overs + shocks/struts + C&C plates (do all three at once)

3) Brake Upgrade (look at Baer)

4) Replacing the 4-link rear (panhard bar and tq arm)

5) Tubular k-member with new A-arms.

6) Rear Control Arms

7) Subframe Connectors

8) New Sway bars (they don't help that much)

I think that's a good order. You may want to wait and do it all at once otherwise you really won't appreciate it at much.
