CAI stalling fix!!!
I bought a K&N FIPk and installed it on my car a couple months ago and ever since the car stalled while i pull out of gear and coast to a stop. The only way for me to keep it from stalling was to keep it in gear until the RPM's got to 1k or below. I had seen a few posts where people were taking the factory screen out of their old intake and putting it back in the CAI before the MAF sensor. I had enough of the stalling and decided to take the damn thing apart and try the factory screen trick. I took it all apart and put it back together fairly quick. The only pain in the **** was keeping the screen in place while i screwed the MAF sensor back on (note: take the rubber gromet off of the screen, makes it a hell of alot easier). I did this while only touching the hot as hell manifold one time.[:@] Anyway I took my baby for a test drive and low and behold the damn thing didn't stall one freaking time. I got it up to about 4k RPM's multiple times in the city and it never stalled.
Now this was a short 2-3 mile test drive so I don't know for sure if it is 100% fool proof but my car used to stall on me before i got to the end of the street if I let it.
So if any of you guys have a CAI, especially the K&N, and you're having stalling issues I would try to put that factory screen back in before the MAF. This took about 10-15 minutes tops and seems to be well worth it so far. Keep this in mind if any of you decide to get a CAI in the future too.

For some reason not everyone has issues with them. I on the other hand have. It's just nice to know that I can coast to a stop now without stallingand save a few mpg's.
