Headlight
I noticed my headlights kind of aiming in 2 very different spots, so I tried to adjust them using the screw. Well, the driver side screw stripped, theres absolutely nowhere for the screwdriver anymore. I also tried a 6 mm allen wrench, and it looks like the screw is spinning, but its not adjusting anything.
I've read this screw can come out of the thread? My headlight is aimed at planes right now, is there anything I can do? Like try to get another screw in there?

because the material is cheap and keeps production costs down. same reason why there are not alot of metal cars anymore. its cheaper and easier to make plastic parts and mass produce them. less labor intensive. wish our cars came with self leveling motors like my gti had.
My headlights that I bought for my first mustang were smoked cobra headlights from ford and they still messed up. These plastic parts suck!! Can you believe that they put a plastic intake manifold in the GT's? What the hell??? I've had to replace that too!! $$$$ what a waste of money!!
just have to be really careful with them. its not just ford that does it. most car companies use the plastic gears now. im more careful now when im aiming. usually use a wall and draw a chalk line or tape line to help me aim.
Well, not satisfied with getting new ones, I set out to fix my problem. Although I rigged them QUITE shady, they are sturdy and secure.
When I took off my headlights, the actual adjustment screw was not stripped, but turning it made no adjustment.
So, I kind of....broke the housing inside the headlight...housing, and could move it freely with my hand.
Aimed it downward where it should be, and used this foam insolation stuff to keep it in place (because of the heat).
Been driving around for hours like this, hasn't moved. Although I rigged the ever loving bejesus out of my headlights, you cant tell from the outside, and now they work perfectly.
