ok so when I run the a/c and when i idle at stoplights/stop signs, etc. the idle will periodically drop down like 400 rpms and once it actually died and i had to restart it. It will not do this any other time except when the a/c is on, any ideas on what the deal is????

 

hey well ur lucky mine dos the dipping thing any ways and at 1700 rmp it does it to while driving

 

Idle Air Control is sticky or dead. Some have cleaned it with various rattle can TB cleaners, however the shop manual says not to do that. You can try cleaning it, or jusy buy a new one at your FLAPS for $70 or so...

 

Ya mine does the same thing but worse cause it will drop the idle really low sometimes then raise it to the point of where it starts to push the car threw the breaks at a stop. Iv cleaned the IAC a few times seems to work for about a month before it goes back to how it was just havnt managed to buy a new one yet.
