Default 2003 GT Mustang Strut Plate Parts

I purchased some front suspension parts for my sons 2003 GT Mustang. Specifically the parts are the 4 stock coil springs and the 2 stock front strut plates with the hardware that came with it. As shown in the picture provided, there is one strut plate, one bolt, 2 nuts, and 2 pop rivets shown inside the red outline. Can someone tell me what the pop rivets are used for? You can email me if you like at:
Chevy66@hawaii.rr.com. Thank you for your support, Tommy.

What you have there is about 30% of the strut plate assembly, here's a photo of the whole thing:

The rivets are used at the factory to hold the top plate in position on the assembly line, using the elongated "figure-8" holes--you do not need them in the field.

Cliffyk, I forgot to ask you, do you have the complete kits for both the driver and passenger sides? If you do, are they for sale? Thanks again, Tommy.

I do, however they are not for sale.

In my 45+ years of customising things with motors it finally got through my thick head that one should keep all OEM parts, so that when time comes to move on you can return the vehicle to as close to stock as possible.

Makes 'em a whole lot easier to sell, however the attic and garage full of parts often generate SWMBO related issues.

Plus you can sell the "trick" stuff on eBay for far more than it would add to the value of the car being sold (a lot of "performance" stuff actually reduces the value of the car)

cliffyk, yes, we want to replace all the stock suspension parts on my sons Mustang. He currently has after market springs with a caster/camber kit that he installed approximately 2 years ago. The ride is bad and the suspension makes a lot of noise. He does not recall what he did with the stock parts. Thanks for your outstanding support, Tommy.

If anyone has the parts I'm looking for, or know who does, please let me know. Thank you, Tommy.
