Smashed ABS ring
I the midst of my solid swap the driver's rear ABS ring got crunched. It's a small flat spot about an inch long and it's felt through the brake pedal pretty hardcomming to a stop from about 30 MPH. Can't feel it through normal braking any higher than that. Obviously, the light is on also....
I launched the car a few times to get a feel for the solid (soooooo much better) and on a hard launch, the light went out and the pulsating from the pedal was gone. Of course, after starting it again it comes back.
Just so I don't have to deal with it until I can fix the ring, is there any way to remove or disable the sensor until I can replace the ring?

When the ABS light comes on it shuts the system down. Your breaks are very important so ford designed it to just turn completely off when it sinces a problem. Your breaking problem may be air in the lines from the swap? Since your ABS ring is damaged then I recommend you just breaking it off when you get the new. Heat the new one up with a torch and it will slide on like hot knife thru butter and tighten up when it cools.
I had a smashed ABS sensor and the light didn't come on. The brake pedal would just pulsate violently whenever coming to a controlled 5-0mph stop. Annoying as hell. Got new stuff put on in the rear driver's side.. 200 bucks out the door. I could unplug the Fuse for the ABS and the light came on and shut off the whole system, but I like to get things done right.
