Kinda of strange problem I can't seem to figure out with my 03 cobra. Pretty much my blinkers work with my headlights off But seem dim and blink much faster then normal, but as soon as I turn my headlights on my blinkers in the front of the car stop working. The rears are fine no matter what.

Now at one point it seems someones had their hands all over this car changing and modding it so who knows what was touched and how they did it. I also noticed that the front headlights don't seem to be original so someone swapped out the headlights. I have yet to replace them but I changed the bulbs and took the flasher out from another car that I knew worked. Still nothing.

Problem is I need to pass inspection and they won't with my blinkers not working, if anyone has any ideas let me know. I'm thinking it could be a voltage problem or the cars been rewired so many times someone got messed up. Also the cars had Juice in it before theres a ton of wires in a nice birds nest by the shifter.. If anyone's got any idea's let me know i'll give em a shot im out of ideas.

Sounds like your problem was created by someone instead of a part just failing. You will have to take it to a pro and get them to track it down. If nobody had messed with the car and it just started doing it out of the blue I would say it was the multi function switch. They will make your car do strange things when they go bad.

Ugh...sounds like a total nightmare.

You need to find the relay for the headlights/blinkers and start from there. Did you get this car cheap?

Pull the headlights out and look at the wires that go to the bulbs. There must be a short where wires were cut or spliced into, or a ground problem. This should be an easy fix,but you might have to search into the loom or untape the wires untill you find the problem.
